When the world around us feels dark and barren, and all seems lost…we notice tiny flashes of yellow beginning to emerge. We are reminded that growth and beauty can return—even when they are hidden from sight for a time. This is the message of wattle - that we are more resilient than we know.
Wattles are one of the first plants to germinate after a bushfire; they herald the start of spring and are a symbol of renewal, of new beginnings and of recovery after adversity. Wattle flowers grow wild in all parts of Australia, representing unity and connection across diversity.
